SPARKcon

The past weekend was the seventh annual SPARKcon.

What is SPARKcon?? It's an event to showcase, celebrate and influence the creative momentum of the Triangle region of NC.

One of my favorites is artSPARK with the chalk street paintings. Since we had a little spare time on Saturday, we took our kids and cousin Choco to Fayetteville St for the street art. As soon as we turned onto the street, it was already filled with paintings!!!!

Supposedly, over 400 artists worked to transform the streets into beautiful works of art!!! Every piece was amazing...

Pretz was especially excited to be around so many people. She couldn't focus on walking straight but at the same time, she looked like she was checking out each piece of art (^_^;)
I also found the perfect art works for Choco and Pocky!
There was also bazaarSPARK on Fayetteville St with around 50 local artists and designers selling their wares! One of Papa's friends co-owns FYSH clothing company (http://www.fyshclothing.com/temp/shop.html) and they had their own booth.
They were doing some serious business! One more push, maybe our kids can help them (*^_^*)
They were definitely getting a lot of attention from people on the street! "Please stop by this booth..."
Assistant Manager is right...where is Pretz...while Pocky and Choco were working hard!!! Well...like I said earlier, she was still excited with all the things going on there...she was all over the place...

Anyway it was a great event! I'm already excited about the street painting next year!

And now, it's grooming time for Pocky and Pretz... The last time was only a bath and a light trim. They are getting the whole grooming this time!
I actually do like his hair long, but it grows very quickly...hopefully this will last at least three weeks...

I was growing Pretz's facial hair out on purpose to give her an afro-style cut, but I came to the conclusion that she may not have the density for that...so I did something different this time...(*^_^*)

I love it! She still looks very girly! (She just doesn't act like one...(^_^;)...hopefully one day....)

I also had another grooming the other day, an Australian Shepherd named Rusty! He was a very energetic and happy dog. It looked like he enjoyed every moment and movement he made. It makes me happy by just looking at him (ノ´∀`*)

Goodbye to the summer coat, and let's getting ready for fall!

2013 Adorable Pet Calender & Fundraiser

One of our friends told us about the 2013 adorable pet calender & fundraiser. I immediately visited the website to check out what this is all about. Basically you nominate your pet through triangle.com and the top 13 will be selected through the voting process to be photographed by a professional photographer and featured in the 12-month calender! The pet with the most votes will be featured on the cover and the other 12 will be a featured pet on one of the calender months chosen by a graphic design team.
Of course I nominated Pocky and Pretz both without hesitation (*^_^*)
Please check it out!

The top 13 pets will be announced online Monday, October 1st!
Hope One of them or both get selected to be in the calender for 2013!

Getting back to grooming, let me introduce a Brussels Griffon, Otis.
He is not a big fan of grooming just like most other doggies. When he saw me the first time, he was hiding behind his mom peaking nervously...reminded me Pocky. No worries Otis, it's not as bad as you think! Let's get started (^^♪
He was very nervous and shaking on the table in the beginning but as I talked to him while grooming, he got used to it really quickly(^-^)He gave me a lot of kisses when I was grooming his face・:*:・(*´∀`*)・:*:・very sweet doggie.
He was very happy to see his mom after the grooming and so was his mom. It's one of the best moments to see doggies' and the owners' happiness with a grooming; the highlight to being a groomer(*^_^*)
