Squirrel

Why do dogs love squirrels so much? Pocky and Pretz love not only chasing real squirrels but love the squirrel toy the best out of all the other toys they have.

It's more like the victim of every day... Anyway they go crazy for Mr.Squirrel for hours...

Pocky is very serious about catching and fetching...very focus!

Boylan Bridge Brewpub

We've been talking about this place since we moved back to Raleigh. Papa is feeling better so we decided to go late lunch before sun goes down. 

We drove by the place many times. They have a big patio where you  can eat outside, and of course what I'm excited about is that you can take your dogs there ヾ(*´∀｀*)ﾉ

It's located on the hill where you can look over downtown Raleigh very clearly.

We were in the shade and the wind blew here and there, it was a perfect day!

I wasn't very hungry so my order was very simple (*^_^*)

But Papa is always hungry man...he ordered

Pocky and Pretz got milk bones from our waiter (*^^*) They were being great as usual!

It's only five minutes walk from where we live. We should definitely come back soon while it's nice outside.

Oakwood Dog Park

Pretz and Pocky have been cooped in the house almost one month because of Pretz's heat. Since she finished her heat cycle, I took them to a dog park (*^_^*)

It's only five minutes driving from our house, very big and well maintained, I love this park! Even if it's hot outside, all the trees will keep you cool. They also have water pipe for doggies when they get thirsty (*^^)v People who have small dogs, no worry, they have small fenced area for small dogs too! When we came last time, we hung out in the small dog area so today was Pocky and Pretz's first time debut to the big dog area.

Looks like they adjusted themselves pretty quickly (^^) A lot of small dogs come to big dog area too.

hahaha He definitely had a big dog attitude, no wonder he was just fine hanging out in this area. Pocky and Pretz didn't really leave my side but they were enjoying explore around me.

It's nice to meet all kind of dogs and watch them playing, makes me happy ヾ(*´∀｀*)ﾉ
We stayed almost two hours, I think they are going to have a good night sleep tonight ☆ミ

Treats Time!

Pretz's heat cycle is finally over...(phew~....) ヾ(*´∀｀*)ﾉ Pocky is finally back to himself. I almost felt like as if somebody swapped Pocky to different dog for three weeks... Anyway I'm so happy to have him back.What a big relief...(*^^)
Unfortunately Papa is still not mobile by himself. We go to a hospital almost everyday, Pocky and Pretz are being very good at home while we are at the hospital. Now they remember that they get treats once we come back home from the hospital...
They still have to earn it though...

Wellness

It's been two days since Pocky stopped eating his food, treats, or anything. Pretz, what have you done to Pocky...

To find some kind of solution, I took Pocky to Phydeaux. (We went on a date ❤)

Phydeaux is the biggest locally-owned pet supply store I have ever seen that is located in Raleigh downtown! They have all kinds of pet supplies, it is hard for me to leave this place with empty hands...^^; I meant to look for stuff to help Pocky eat but look at these...

So many cute bowls! Maybe I should get a new bowl for Pocky to encourage him to eat!....(*^^)v
(Like I just said...I'm always looking for some excuse to purchase some stuff here...)
Before I started shopping crazy, I picked up two cans of food and we headed home (^_^;)


Once we got home, I mixed his dry food and wet food to see if he was going to eat at all...

He ate!

Actually he ate it all!!
I was so happy that I couldn't stop staring at him while he was finishing his food.

Believe it or not, Pocky is not my only patient in the house right now. Papa just got a knee surgery and he is in big pain...

(BTW this ice-water reservoir is the bomb! Basically this little machine "Polar Care 300" pumps ice-water through the icing pad and keeps it cool for a long time. What a genius idea ☆彡)
The least of my worries is a little girl Pretz. She is handling this whole heat cycle very well; all I need to do for her is change the diaper from time to time. Good girl Pretz (*^^)v

Hope all my patients (especially Pocky and Papa) get better sooner rather than later (人∀・) I miss normal life｡ﾟ(ﾟ´Д｀ﾟ)ﾟ｡sniff sniff...

In Love...

It's been almost two weeks since Pretz went into heat. Something has changed lately, Pocky doesn't want to do anything but be with Pretz. We can't keep eye on them 24/7 so when we both are doing something, we keep Pretz in the crate just in case. Friday noon, I was cleaning up-stair. Although Pretz was in the crate I tried to keep eye on her here and there. Then I saw...

They were secretly making out through the crate (´ε｀ )
At first I thought "aweee they are so cute together..." Then 2 minutes later I heard scratching sounds...

(#･∀･)...oh my goodness...they are not playing around...this is serious, making me blush by watching them...
They are in love...(ﾉ´∀｀*)
I wasn't aware that this whole female heat is this powerful and not only affect female but more so to male.
Pocky stopped eating his food or treat...I started worry(・へ・)
We didn't want this situation to get any more worse so we decided to keep them separate room until she finishes her cycle.
It was painful for me to see Pocky cries for Pretz. Pocky's obsessiveness was very strong...

  Σ(ﾟДﾟ) OMG Pocky! You scared me!!! What's the matter!?!?

Oh no...I can not wait until the thing to be over...we still have two more weeks to go...what do we do...
I think I am going on date with Pocky tomorrow. He needs to take his mind off "Juliet".


For some good news, I did first grooming here in Raleigh (*^^*)
He was Yorkshire Terrier, named Charlie ☆

I wish I could get better angle picture but he was all handsome and ready to go back to his Mama (^^) Understandable ^^; Hope to see him again near future!

Happy Birthday Uncle

We were in DC this past weekend. Our best friend Uncle Jax's birthday is coming up soon. We couldn't be in DC on his actual birthday so we decided to do a small surprise party for him while we were still in DC☆彡On Monday when everyone was still at work, some of us were at their house and getting ready for his surprise party...

We also had a rehearsal for the doggies (^^♪
"You guys know what to say when uncle Jax comes home?? Three, two one..."

Ok...they are not looking at me but this is good enough...(^_^;)
Around 7:45pm, uncle Jax came home. Everyone was quiet and ready!

Hahahaha! Look at his face!!! I think we totally nailed it!!
We all had his favorite food, Chipotle, as dinner

 and it was deeeeelicioussssssss (*´∀｀*)
Doggies also enjoyed surprise party...except...

Choco bear...Σ(ﾟ∀ﾟﾉ)ﾉ...No no no of course he enjoyed his daddy's b-day too, he may look depressed but he is a happy doggy (^^)
Finale was his favorite: chocolate cake!

Hope he enjoyed his party(^^) because I definitely did (^^♪
